Getting Down and Gnarly With The Great American Crawl

Getting down and gnarly at wheeling events that are held in our country and around the world is one of the best ways fans of the Jeep lifestyle unwind while exploring the great outdoors. Here in the good ole USA, the Great American Crawl is a fan favorite among 4×4 enthusiasts. So what’s the deal with this particular event? What sets this one apart from others? Here’s some more information about this newer and soon-to-be must-attend tradition among drivers and riders.

What’s the Great American Crawl?

Hosted annually by Rockstar Performance Garage, the Great American Crawl is a nationwide, offroad series that visits some of the wildest 4×4 parks in the country. From buggy and bypass lines to canyons and deserts, there’s plenty more to explore for beginners and experts alike. One of the best parts of the crawl is that it’s not a single day or weekend getaway but rather a grouping of rad rides running from April through November.

What’s to be Expected at These Crawls?

A past event included a visit to the Southern Missouri Road Ranch (SMORR) near the town of Seymour. This beautiful and bountiful ranch is a place known as an excellent spot to set up camp and go four-wheeling all in the same location. During a former experience with the crawl in this part of the Midwest, there were people from all over the United States who came together to hang out, go four-wheeling, and just have some fun.

The trails at this popular park include steep and rugged terrain along with an amazing double waterfall into a Missouri creek bed that has trails that are challenging for the most seasoned drivers. One of the harder obstacles to conquer is known as Copperhead that transcends through this muddy and slippery part of the ranch. Nearly 50 vehicles showed up to tackle other trails like winding Windrock, and other treacherous obsticals putting drivers and their rigs to the ultimate test.

What’s the Schedule of Events for The Great American Crawl in 2021?
