Blair House, the first of what is to become a 4 building student community complex named Phillip Square includes retail space, student lounge, indoor and outdoor common areas, recreational facilities, a basketball court, and fully equipped fitness facilities all located across the street from the University of Waterloo. Blair House opened its doors in September 2015 and has 106 units housing 426 students. Fergus House, the sec-ond phase of Phillip square opened in 2017, the building includes all of the elements of Blair house but also a state of the art theatre room. Fergus House contains 120 suites and 476 beds.
